Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Big Picture Athletics LLC (“Big Picture Athletics,” “we,” “us”) collects through the StatStuffer website at stat-stuffer.com, the beta signup form, and the StatStuffer beta app distributed through Apple TestFlight, and what we do with it.
- We collect your email to send TestFlight invitations and beta updates. We don’t sell it.
- During the beta, everything you enter about your player stays on your phone. We have no account system and no server copy.
- To write the post-game analysis, the app sends game information to Anthropic’s Claude. Your child’s name is never sent.
- The website uses Google Analytics and Hostinger analytics to count visits.
1. Who can use StatStuffer
The StatStuffer beta is for parents and guardians who are 18 or older and live in the United States. The app is built for adults to use while watching a youth game. It is not intended for children to use, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
2. Information we collect on the website
Your email address. When you request beta access, we collect the email you submit. The form is processed by Formspree, which also sends you an automatic confirmation email with TestFlight and app download instructions. The list is kept in a Google Sheet that only we can access.
Visit data. We use Google Analytics and Hostinger analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they view. These tools may set cookies and collect your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and pages viewed. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site. You can block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
3. Information in the beta app
To track games, you enter information about yourself and your player:
- Your name and your relationship to the player
- Your player’s first name, age, jersey number and position
- Team and opponent names
- The stats you record during games
During the beta, this information is stored only on your device. There is no account, login, or cloud backup, and we do not receive a copy. Deleting the app deletes this information.
4. Game analysis and Anthropic’s Claude
StatStuffer Analysis, the written post-game summary, is generated using Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, PBC. When you request an analysis, the app sends Anthropic information about the game so that Claude can write the summary.
Your child’s name is never sent to Claude. Anthropic’s handling of the data it receives is covered by Anthropic’s privacy policy.
5. Apple TestFlight
We share your email with Apple to send your TestFlight invitation. Apple also gives us crash reports, basic usage information such as sessions and installs, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to submit through TestFlight. Apple’s handling of this information is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
6. How we use your information
- To send your signup confirmation, TestFlight invitations and app download instructions, and beta-related updates
- To tell you when StatStuffer launches on the App Store
- To fix bugs and improve the app, using crash reports and feedback
- To quote your feedback in StatStuffer communications and marketing, identified by first name and city at most, as described in our Terms of Service
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
7. Who we share it with
We only share information with the service providers that run StatStuffer: Formspree and Google (the signup form, confirmation email, and email list), Google and Hostinger (website hosting and analytics), Apple (TestFlight), and Anthropic (game analysis). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep the beta email list until we announce the App Store launch, then delete it. Data in the app stays on your device until you delete it or the app. Data collected during the beta may not carry over to future releases of StatStuffer.
9. Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can stop receiving beta emails at any time. Email admin@bigpictureathletics.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on your state, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will honor them.
10. Security
We limit access to the email list to the people who run StatStuffer and rely on our providers’ security. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If the change affects how we use information we already have, we will email the beta list first.
